Anil Chaturvedi: Banker, Philanthropist, and Role Model

Anil Chatruvedi is an exceptional leader and economist, his professional career is immaculate and inspiring. It all began after he graduated from Merrut University with a degree in economics. This propelled his interest in the economy and persuaded him to pursue his M.B.A from Delhi School of Economics in 1973. His peers and colleagues immediately recognized his talent and the State Bank of India was quick to hire him. He quickly rose through the ranks at SBI and became the Development and Planning Manager where he created tailor made investment plans for high net worth non-resident Indians living in the United States. He managed to bring in over $500 million of new investments during the four years he was manager at SBI.

Anil Chaturvedi was just getting started, in 1991 he left for America where he joined ANZ Grindlays Bank in New York. He became Vice President and a Senior Representative for operations in the United States. After two years he moved to Merril Lynch where he was also elected to be Managing Director. He would stay at Merril Lynch until 2011 completing more than 17 years at the prestigious wealth management firms.

After many productive and life changing years at Merril Lynch, Anil Chaturvedi joined the private bank Hinduja Bank located in Geneva, Switzerland, where he is currently the Managing Director. His specialties include corporate and investment banking as well as investment advisory services. He continues to be a patriotic Indian and strives to improve the Indian economy whenever he can. His business dealings with Hinduja Bank often include bilateral investment negotiations between India and several European nations including Switzerland, France and Germany. He is also responsible for restructuring distressed asset investments, mergers and acquisitions and the development of strategic alliances between Europe, Asia and India.

Anil Chaturvedi has over forty years of experience in the investment field and continues to improve his reputation as one of the most hardworking and skilled investment bankers on the planet. His knowledge and experience with corporate and private banking have helped him understand the ins and outs of both industries and the hardships that employees face at every level of the organization. This understanding helps him run the day to day business with clarity and ever increasing desire to improve the working conditions and lives of all those around him.
